Intel P45 Express
P45 Express is a new ‘mass’ chipset by Intel but it doesn’t necessary mean the manufacturers should use it for production of bulk motherboards. Some of the products represented in this review may be regarded as less expensive alternatives of super-expensive X48-based models; certain samples are some sort of ‘gaming’ version of ordinary ‘budget-priced’ boards while the rest of models fall somewhere in between these two extreme categories. The MSI P45 Platinum motherboard that took a third place for performance and second place for CPU overclocking appears as good product and quite affordable by the customer. This motherboard features as many functions as P45D3 Platinum and its starting price of 4.8 thousand roubles is quite acceptable. Only one question remains open: is a RUR800 difference can influence the choice of MSI P45 Platinum versus Asus P5Q Deluxe with greater selection of functions? Both motherboards are equally valuable to us.
